Our way to sustainability

At Eramine, we believe that the project is only as successful as the nearby community’s progress and the protection of the environment.

A comprehensive approach to a sustainable future

Our sustainable vision is present in all the processes we carry out. It is framed in Eramet’s CSR roadmap, “Act for Positive Mining”, which includes three main axes:

We are committed to ensuring health and safety on our sites; to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can grow; and to supporting sustainable development in the communities we serve. Through these efforts, we aim to improve lives both within and without our organization.

We are committed to ensuring health and safety on our sites, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can grow, and supporting sustainable development in the communities we serve. Through these efforts, we aim to improve lives both within and beyond our organization.

Our commitment extends to protecting and preserving the environment. We aim to control and optimize water consumption to ensure the quality of the resource for all. We integrate biodiversity preservation into all activities, developing tailored conservation plans. Additionally, we work on mitigating pollution risks and reducing our overall environmental impact, striving for a sustainable future in every aspect of our operations.

We are dedicated to building a more sustainable value chain by reducing our CO₂ footprint, optimizing mineral resource consumption, and promoting a circular economy. Additionally, we work closely with suppliers and customers to ensure responsible practices that align with our CSR commitments, fostering sustainability at every step.

Our goal is to manage resources in a responsible and ethical way, promoting local development and opportunities, especially in the region where we operate, seeking to preserve the natural ecosystem.

The pillars that guide our sustainability performance are:

People

We look for people that are aligned with our values, and we support their development, balancing professional and personal aspects.

Local
development

We promote direct and indirect local employment, prioritizing the hiring of local people and suppliers.

Partnerships

We work with organizations that are experts in their fields of activity, to ensure that our projects are sustainable and led by

Human Rights

Respect for Human Rights is a fundamental pillar in all our activities. We have a clear process of Due Diligence in place, and we strive to create an inclusive and respectful work environment that benefits both our internal stakeholders (employees and contractors) and external stakeholders (the civil society in general with a particular attention to local communities).

Environment

We adopt policies to prevent and limit any environmental impact, and to make our use of resources more efficient. We comply with all environmental laws, rules and regulations applicable to our activity, and we demand the same from our suppliers and contractors.

Our work is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), to ensure that our actions are consistent, in the framework of the 2030 global agenda for Sustainable Development.

In the same context, together with the local community, Eramine has selected 3 fundamental SDGs for the period 2021-2025, making them its priority:

Quality education
Decent work and economic growth
Responsible consumption and production
