- First export of 40 tons of lithium carbonate to our customers.

2024
- Start of no commercial lithium carbonate production, making Eramet Eramine the first lithium producer in Salta.
- Eramet regains full ownership by acquiring 100% of Eramine’s shares.
- Plant inauguration in presence of local, provincial, national and international authorities.
2022
- Start of plant construction
- Launch of the IRMA(Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance) process, an international standard designed to assess responsible mining operations.
2021
- Confirmation of the battery-grade quality of the lithium carbonate final product produced at the pilot plant, with a very high level of direct extraction efficiency (90%).
- Tsingshan, the Chinese iron and steel Group acquired a 49.9% stake in Eramine Sudamérica S.A., with Eramet retaining a 50.1% majority shareholding.
2019 - 2020
- Commissioning of a pilot-scale plant on-site to test and optimize the lithium extraction process at 3,800m a.s.l. at a semi-industrial scale.
- The project was mothballed during the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining pilot plant testing, team training, and community relations.
- Obtaining consent from local communities through the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process, pursuant to the ILO 169 Convention.
2010 - 2018
- Creation of Eramine Sudamérica SA, a 100% subisidary of the Eramet group
- Agreement with REMSA, a Salta Province state-owned company and adjudication of mining titles.
- Confirmation of the feasibility of the project after years of mining exploration.
