We are a new lithium carbonate producer
Eramine, a 100% subsidiary of Eramet, a French mining and metallurgical group, is set to produce 24,000 Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) per year at full capacity in its plant located in the Centenario-Ratonès salar in Argentina, at 3,800 meters above the sea level. It ambitions to become a world leader for lithium carbonate production with one of the industry’s lowest cash-cost.
From exploration to production, which started in December 2024, we have developed a strong R&D with a skilled workforce. All necessary preventive health and safety measures have been taken on our workplace to achieve industrial and socio-environmental performances.

Lithium Triangle in Argentina, formed by the provinces of Salta, Catamarca, and Jujuy, located in the northwest of the country
Committed to sustainable metals, Eramine works hard to develop Direct Lithium Extraction, a technology that captures lithium with a recovery rate of more than 90% in just 7 days and that uses 60% less water than a conventional process.
All those efforts are meant to reduce negative impact and optimize efficiency are part of Eramet’s Act For Positive Mining goals. As a responsible mining company, Eramine is proud to be an important actor in the development of the Salta province.
The mineral resources of the Centenario-Ratones salar are estimated at approximately 5,000 million cubic meters of brine with an average lithium content of 407 mg/l, the equivalent of approximately 15 million tons of LCE (certification of compliance with the Joint Ore Reserves Committee Code). It’s one of the most promising deposits for lithium.
Eramine has voluntarily committed to being audited against the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA), the world’s most demanding mining standard. The audit process started in 2025.
